Golden & Grim wasn’t the first choice. I (Cullen) pitched for “Warm & Wicked,” but Taryn thought it sounded too much like a tea company… so here we are.

 

When you see us walking down the street, it is clear that Taryn and I fall into the “Golden Retriever BF / Goth GF” category. I’ve never seen a piece of fabric touch her that wasn’t black or at least dark. Meanwhile, I still cry during Finding Nemo.

 

We met during our last semester of college in a painting course. Taryn had years of art experience and a degree in architecture — I hadn’t touched a colored pencil, let alone a paintbrush, since middle school. Yet, quickly, the most and least talented people in the class were dating, and our lives haven’t been the same since.

 

As I’m writing this, she’s across from me, hand-designing the website - wondering why I keep gazing longingly at her… like I usually do.

 

We both come from creative backgrounds

 

Taryn has had her artwork featured in galleries. She tailors/creates all her outfits & is skilled in just about anything that involves art.

 

Cullen (that’s me) has won stand-up comedy competitions, published a novel, and specializes in harassing Taryn with fake centipedes around our apartment… okay, maybe she’s the one who chases me.

 

We’re creating this site to showcase our adventures & highlight our (mostly hers) amazing work.
